The object of the game is to win races and championships. You will therefore need the best race car and the top drivers!
However, you'll also need some money so you can afford these things. So we'll start here.
Money
There are two streams of income in the game, sponsors and merchendising. The better you do at races, the happier sponsors will be with you, and the more likely they are to sponsor your team, always check the sponsors page after every race to see how your deals are progressing. Remember, a good commercial manager will increase the speed you can get sponsors, as will good race results.
Merchendising is the second way to get money, you'll need to lay down some cash initially, but you'll make it back pretty quick, plus some more!
Race Car
The most important screen in the game is the Car Suppliers screen. This is where you select your components from the list of suppliers. You can use your own chassis but we'd suggest buying in a customer one, at least for the first couple of races.
Always check back to this screen - the better you do in races, the more suppliers will become available!
Racing
Hit the At the track screen - this is your portal to the race weekend. There are 16 races in a season, starting with Australia and ending in Japan.
Use your practise laps to get your car setup, check your engineers estimates for the track at the top of the page and start with these, but bear in mind, these are just estimations, you may find slight performance gains if you play about with the settings a bit.
Once you're happy with the car, do a qualifying lap, but make sure you don't set the aggression too high or your driver will crash!
Don't forget to set your tactics for the race, you can select pit stops, aggression (again be careful) and tyre choice - super soft tyres are the quickest, but will degrade quickly, so I'd suggest using the Medium's or Hard's until you've got a feel for the game (unless you decide to do multiple stops).
